Daavettila returns to Eagles

WINDSOR, Colo. – The
Colorado Eagles announced that they have re-signed forward Trent Daavettila for the 2013-14 season.

During the 2012-13 campaign, Daavettila’s first with the Eagles, the Howell, Mich. native led the team with 48 assists, finished second with 67 points and ended the regular season tied for third on the squad with 19 goals. He went on to lead the Eagles in the postseason in goals (4), assists (6), points (10) and plus/minus rating (+8).

Since 2009, Daavettila has produced the most points in the ECHL with 326 (including playoff games). In that time, his 222 assists and his +59 rating are also tops in the ECHL.

In 261 regular season ECHL games, the 6-foot, 190-pound forward has accumulated 270 points (88g-182a), highlighted by a stellar 2010-11 season, in which he led the league with a +28 rating, that helped Kalamazoo represent the Eastern Conference in the Kelly Cup Finals. He led the K-Wings in points in both the 2010-11 and 2011-12 campaigns (154 in 140 games) and led the 2011 playoff field in points (28) and assists (22), as well.
