Matt Dalton is back, and the Reading Royals hope they are, too.
Dalton returned from his NHL assignment during the Olympic break to make 41 saves in a 6-4 win at Trenton Tuesday night.
The win ended a franchise-worst seven-game road losing streak and moved the Royals into eighth place in the American Conference.
It also was Reading’s fifth win in eight games.
“It was just a big two points for us,” said Dalton, who practiced with the Boston Bruins last week in place of U.S. Olympian Tim Thomas. “Trenton beat us a couple times, and we just had to get back on our feet.”
