D’Amour, Smyth Return To Bombers From Rochester

DAYTON, Ohio – The Dayton Bombers announced that forward Ryan Smyth and defenseman Dominic D’Amour have returned to Dayton after attending training camp with the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

The 23-year-old Smyth had 23 points (14g-9a) and 60 penalty minutes in 71 regular season games for the Bombers as a rookie in 2007-08, including three two-goal games and five two-point games. He played in both games for Dayton in the Kelly Cup Playoffs and had four penalty minutes.

Selected in the third round (88th overall) by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2002 National Hockey League Entry Draft, the 24-year-old D’Amour had 15 points (5g-10a) and 65 penalty minutes in 26 games for Wichita in the Central Hockey League in 2007-08. He also played in Italy where he had three points (1g-2a) and six penalty minutes in four games for Fassa.
