Dean Ouellet returns to Komets

Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Fort Wayne Komets announced that forward Dean Ouellet has agreed to terms and becomes the first player to be officially named to the 2015-16 roster.

Ouellet, who will turn 28 this summer, will be returning to Fort Wayne after recording 11 points (1g-10a) in 16 regular-season games and added 10 points (4g-6a) in nine playoff games with the team during the 2013-14 season. Ouellet began that year appearing in 38 games with the San Francisco Bulls, where he had 30 points (10g-20a).

Last year the Edmundston, New Brunswick native skated 26 games with Lyon in the French Elite league, ranking second on the Lions with 11 goals and fifth with 21 points.

During the 2012-13 season, Ouellet ranked third among ECHL rookies with 24 goals and tied for fourth with 52 points in 66 games while representing the Bulls at the 2013 ECHL All-Star Game in Colorado. He also made his AHL debut that season appearing in five games with Hamilton.
