DeBlois is AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month


South Carolina Stingrays’ forward Derek DeBlois is the AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for February after leading the league with a plus-minus rating of +19 during the month.


DeBlois was even or better in all 13 games during February, and was a +3 in three games – a 7-1 win at Greenville on Feb. 7, a 6-3 victory againt Gwinnett on Feb. 8 and a 5-0 win at Gwinnett on Feb. 14.


The 23-year-old is tied for ninth among ECHL rookies with 37 points (15g-22a) in 51 games this season. He tallied 21 points (10g-11a) in February helping South Carolina go 13-0-0 during the month.


A native of Narragansett, R.I., DeBlois played four seasons at the University of Michigan where he recorded 61 points (24g-37a) in 141 career games.


In recognition of his accomplishment, AMI Graphics will present Derek DeBlois with a personalized Plus Performer of the Month Banner during an on-ice ceremony at an upcoming Stingrays’ home game.
