Del Monte loaned to Rochester, Stingrays sign Jarman

North Charleston, SC – The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach Cail MacLean announced today that forward Ryan Del Monte has been called up to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League. The Stingrays also announced that forward David Jarman has signed with the team. In keeping with club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.


Del Monte, 27, dressed in five games with the Stingrays earning one assist. The Mississauga, ON native spent most of this season in the AHL with Rochester and the Worcester Sharks grabbing four goals and six assists for 10 points in 36 games and was acquired by the Stingrays via trade with the Cincinnati Cyclones on Feb. 11. While with the Cyclones, Del Monte netted eight points (2g-6a) in 11 games.


Jarman, 24, enters his first professional campaign after dressing for four seasons at Sacred Heart University. While with the Pioneers, the Toronto, ON native recorded 134 points (47g-87a) in 147 games. During the 2006-07 season, Jarman was a teammate of current Stingrays forward Pierre-Luc O’Brien.
