Demone, Salmon Kings Agree To Terms

VICTORIA, British Columbia – The Victoria Salmon Kings announced that defenseman James Demone has agreed to terms.

The Salmon Kings are the ECHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League and the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.

Selected in the ninth round (283rd overall) by the Ottawa Senators in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-foot-6 and 220-pound Demone was originally signed by Manitoba after earning a tryout with Vancouver through the CBC reality series “Making The Cut”.

The 24-year-old had nine points (1g-8a) and 121 penalty minutes in 55 regular season games and four penalty minutes in one playoff game for Manitoba in 2005-06 while also playing for Columbia in the ECHL where he had one assist and eight penalty minutes in 10 games.
