Devils, Leach Agree To Terms

TRENTON, N.J. – The Trenton Devils announced that they have agreed to terms with forward Andrew Leach.

The Trenton Devils are owned and operated by the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League and are the ECHL affiliate of New Jersey and Lowell of the American Hockey League.

The 25 year old played his rookie season in 2006-07 in the United Hockey League where he had 15 points (6g-9a) and 46 penalty minutes in 48 games for Kalamazoo. He also had four points (1g-3a) and 10 penalty minutes in 13 games for Elmira, which joins the ECHL as an expansion team this season.

He is the younger brother of Jay Leach, who played in the ECHL with Augusta, Long Beach, Mississippi and Trenton and who is one of 329 players to have played in the NHL after playing in the ECHL, making his NHL debut on Nov. 5, 2005 with the Boston Bruins.
