Devils Trade Martin To Elmira

TRENTON, N.J. – The Trenton Devils announced that they have traded goaltender Joel Martin to the Elmira Jackals in exchange for future considerations.

The Trenton Devils are owned and operated by the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League and are the ECHL affiliate of New Jersey and Lowell of the American Hockey League.

The 24 year old was 12-15-2 with a goals-against average of 3.45 and a save percentage of .904 in 32 regular season games for Trenton in 2006-07 and was 0-2 in the Kelly Cup Playoffs despite having a goals-against average of 1.08 and a save percentage of .963.

He also played in the AHL in 2006-07 where he was 1-0-0 with a goals-against average of 1.00 and a save percentage of .971 in one game with Syracuse and 1-0-0 with a goals-against average of 4.57 and a save percentage of .822 in two games with Norfolk.
