ECHL announces fines, suspension

 

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Tuesday announced the following fines and suspension.

Cincinnati’s Liambas fined, suspended

Cincinnati’s Mike Liambas has been suspended for four games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #37, Trenton at Cincinnati, on Oct. 20.

Liambas was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for interference under Rule #56.5 at 9:59 of the first period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Liambas will miss Cincinnati’s games at Elmira (Oct. 26 and Oct. 27), vs. Kalamazoo (Oct. 31) and at Kalamazoo (Nov. 2).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Elmira’s Harvey fined

Elmira’s Kevin Harvey has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #34, Wheeling at Elmira, on Oct. 20.

Harvey is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
