ECHL announces fines, suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Wednesday announced the following fines and suspensions resulting from ECHL Game #558, Ontario at Utah, on March 5.

 

Utah’s Simon Ferguson has been suspended for five games and fined an undisclosed amount under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline. Ferguson will miss Utah’s games against Stockton on March 9, 11, 12 and 13 and at Victoria on March 16.

 

Utah’s Riley Emmerson has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline. Emmerson will miss Utah’s game against Stockton on March 9.

 

Ontario’s James McEwan has been suspended for four games and fined an undisclosed amount under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline. McEwan was assessed a match penalty under Rule #46.14 at 8:14 of the second period. He will miss Ontario’s games vs. Idaho (March 9), vs. Las Vegas (March 11 and 12) and at Las Vegas (March 17).

 

Ontario’s Chaz Johnson has been suspended for one game under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline. Johnson will miss Ontario’s game against Idaho on March 9.

 

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
