ECHL announces fines, suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Monday announced the following fines and suspensions.

 

Alaska’s Stewart Fined, Suspended

 

Alaska’s Jerad Stewart has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #571, Victoria at Alaska, on March 11.

 

Stewart was assessed a match penalty for boarding under Rule #41.4 at 12:34 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

 

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.


Stewart missed Alaska’s game against Victoria on March 12 and will miss Alaska’s game at Las Vegas on March 15.

 

Victoria’s McLeod Fined, Suspended

 

Victoria’s Kiel McLeod has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #571, Victoria at Alaska, on March 11.

 

McLeod was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct under Rule #48.4 – Illegal Check to the Head at 10:02 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

 

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

 

McLeod missed Victoria’s game against Alaska on March 12 and will miss Victoria’s game against Utah on March 16.

 
 
Utah’s Grantham Fined, Suspended
 

Utah’s Ryley Grantham has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #577, Stockton at Utah, on March 11.

 

Grantham is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

 

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

 

Grantham missed Utah’s game against Stockton on March 12.

 

Gwinnett’s Paquette Fined, Suspended

 

Gwinnett’s Danick Paquette has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #581, Gwinnett at Elmira, on March 12.

 

Paquette was assessed a major penalty for boarding under Rule #41.3 at 7:38 of the first period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

 

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

 

Paquette will miss Gwinnett’s game against Cincinnati on March 15.

 

Kalamazoo’s Versteeg Fined, Suspended

 

Kalamazoo’s Mitch Versteeg has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #583, Wheeling at Kalamazoo, on March 12.

 

Versteeg was assessed a match penalty for slashing under Rule #61.4 at the conclusion of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #21.1.

 

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

 

Versteeg missed Kalamazoo’s game against Wheeling on March 13.

 
Utah’s Clarke Fined, Suspended
 

Utah’s Matt Clarke has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #587, Stockton at Utah, on March 12.

 

Clarke was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct under Rule #48.4 – Illegal Check to the Head at 19:09 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

 

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

 

Clarke missed Utah’s game against Stockton on March 13.

 
Utah’s Parnham Fined
 

Utah’s Brett Parnham has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #587, Stockton at Utah, on March 12.

 

Parnham was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for spearing under Rule #62.5 at 7:05 of the third period. He is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

 

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
