ECHL announces fines, suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Tuesday announced the following fines and suspensions.

 

Utah’s Grantham Fined, Suspended

 

Utah’s Ryley Grantham has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #611, Utah at Victoria, on March 18.

 

Grantham is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

 

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

 

Grantham missed Utah’s game at Victoria on March 19.

 

Elmira’s Nichols Fined

 

Elmira coach Robbie Nichols has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions prior to ECHL Game #608, Elmira at Reading, on March 18.

 

Elmira’s Donati Fined, Suspended

 

Elmira’s Justin Donati has been suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #616, Elmira at Reading, on March 19.

 

Donati was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #40.4 – Physical Abuse of Officials, Category III, at 15:04 of the second period.

 

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

 

Donati missed Elmira’s game against Reading on March 19 and will miss Elmira’s games against Trenton on March 23 and against Kalamazoo on March 26.

 

Elmira’s Eizenman Fined, Suspended

 

Elmira’s Oren Eizenman has been suspended for five games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #616, Elmira at Reading, on March 19.

 

Eizenman is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

 

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

 

Eizenman missed Elmira’s game against Reading on March 20. He will miss Elmira’s games vs. Trenton (March 23), vs. Kalamazoo (March 26 and March 27) and at Trenton (March 30).

 

Elmira’s Regan Fined

 

Elmira’s Eric Regan has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #616, Elmira at Reading, on March 19.

 

Regan is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

 

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
