ECHL mourns loss of Pelss

The ECHL and its member teams mourn the loss and express their condolences to the family and friends of former ECHL forward Kristians Pelss, who passed away this week in his native Latvia.

Pelss tallied five points (2g-3a) in 13 games with Stockton in 2012-13 while adding eight points (1g-7a) in 20 games with Oklahoma City of the American Hockey League. A seventh-round selection (181st overall) by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Pelss played two seasons with the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League prior to turning pro.

Arrangements are pending at this time.
