Elmira Signs Watson, Ulanski, Boeser

ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira Jackals announced that they have signed forwards Bruce Watson and Kevin Ulanski and defenseman Dan Boeser.

The ECHL Board of Governors unanimously approved the Membership Application of the Elmira Jackals for admission to the ECHL. Playing their first ECHL season in 2007-08, the Jackals have averaged 3,308 per game over the last seven seasons with 31 sellouts, including a team record standing-room-only crowd of 4,126 on Oct. 13, 2006.

Watson had 15 points (9g-6a) and 82 penalty minutes in 27 regular season games and eight points (5g-3a) and 32 penalty minutes in 12 playoff games for the Rockford Ice Hogs in the United Hockey League.

The 25-year-old Ulanski had 66 points (26g-40a) and 38 penalty minutes in 61 games and 21 points (8g-13a) and 18 penalty minutes in 17 playoff games with the Rockford IceHogs in the UHL. The second year pro also had two assists and four penalty minutes in 13 regular season games with Milwaukee Admirals in the American Hockey League.

Boeser had 30 points (5g-25a) and 12 penalty minutes in 64 regular season games and 12 points (2g-10a) and six penalty minutes in 17 playoff games with the Rockford IceHogs, along with playing one game with the Milwaukee Admirals in the AHL.
