Pierro-Zabotel named CCM/ECHL Player of the Month

Colorado Eagles’ forward Casey Pierro-Zabotel has been named the CCM ECHL Player of the Month for October.

Pierro-Zabotel scored three goals, added eight assists and was a +5 in October, helping the Eagles to a 4-1-2 record during the month.

The 27-year-old scored at least one point in seven of his eight games during the month, and had a stretch of five consecutive two-point games from Oct. 15-28.

A native of Kamloops, British Columbia, Pierro-Zabotel is tied for second in the ECHL with eight assists and 11 points.

Selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third round (80th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Pierro-Zabotel has 355 points (108g-247a) in 413 career ECHL games with Colorado, Allen, Florida, Gwinnett, Bakersfield, Cincinnati and Wheeling. He was named to the All-ECHL First Team in 2012-13, represnted Gwinnett at the 2013 ECHL All-Star Game and captured the 2016 Kelly Cup title with Allen.
