Lake and DeSerres return to Aces

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks and AHL's Utica Comets, have signed forward Ben Lake and goaltender Jacob DeSerres to contracts for the 2016-17 season.

Lake, 26, joined the Aces in 2015 after completing his NCAA college eligibility at Sacred Heart University. The native of Calgary played in 66 games for Alaska in 2015-16, scoring 22 points ( 7g-15a).DeSerres, joined the Aces last season after one game with Adirondack and 10 with Colorado. The 26-year-old played in 17 games for Alaska, fashioning a 6-8-2 record with a 3.30 goals-against average and save percentage of .870. He was selected in the third round (84th overall) by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
