BRAMPTON, Ontario - The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and AHL's St. John's IceCaps, announced that defenseman Reggie Traccitto has signed with the club for the 2016-17 season.
Traccitto, 27, will be entering his second full season as a professional. He started last season as a member of the Beast, suiting up for 37 contests with Brampton and posting 12 points (8g-4a).
The Oakville, Ontario native was traded to the Allen Americans in February and appeared in 16 games with the eventual Kelly Cup champions, recording four assists along the way.
Prior to joining the Beast, Traccitto played five seasons at the University of Prince Edward Island. He appeared in a total of 120 games with the Panthers, recording 97 points (37g-60) and earning two AUS First All-Star Team nods in the process.
Traccitto also spent time in the Ontario Hockey League with the London Knights and Niagara IceDogs. He appeared in 190 OHL games from 2005-10 tallying 65 points (27g-38a) and adding 262 penalty minutes.
