The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Dallas Stars and the American Hockey League's Texas Stars.
Pendenza will begin his fourth full professional season in October. The Wilmington, Massachusetts native spent the entire 2017-18 season with the AHL’s Cleveland Monsters, notching 10 points (6g-4a) in 46 games.
The 27-year-old has appeared in 206 career AHL games for Cleveland and Milwaukee, recording 57 points (27g-30a). Pendenza enjoyed his best AHL production in 2016-17 with Cleveland, scoring 21 points (9g-13a) in 62 contests.
Pendenza has played 38 ECHL games during his career, appearing in 34 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones but playing his most recent ECHL stint with four games in 2016-17 for the Manchester Monarchs. In his ECHL career, Pendenza has totaled 31 points (16g-15a), along with 28 penalty minutes.
Pendenza played four years of college hockey at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell from 2010-14, recording 110 points (49g-61a) in 152 career games. Pendenza won a Hockey East championship in 2012-13 and was named to Hockey East’s Second All-Star Team that season, in which he had 38 points (15g-23a) in 41 games.
