Linhart is Heartlanders first signing

Coralville, Iowa – The Iowa Heartlanders, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Minnesota Wild and American Hockey League's Iowa Wild, announced defenseman Jake Linhart has signed a contract for the 2021-22 season, the first player to ever sign with the Heartlanders.Linhart, a University of Wisconsin graduate, is preparing for his third ECHL season. He spent the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons with Adirondack, totaling 53 points (13g-40a) in 111 games over two seasons, the most by a Thunder blueliner in that span. He also tallied one assist in five AHL games with Hershey in 2018-19.

Prior to turning pro, the Brookfield, Wisconsin native recorded 60 points (15g-45a) in 142 games at the University of Wisconsin and was named to the Big Ten Second All-Star Team in 2016-17.
