Heartlanders add former Rookie of Year Boucher

Coralville, Iowa - The Iowa Heartlanders, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Minnesota Wild and American Hockey League's Iowa Wild, have signed forward Matthew Boucher to a contract. 

Boucher, 24, has 75 points (38-37a) in 80 career ECHL games with Utah.. He won the 2020-21 John A. Daley Memorial Trophy as ECHL Rookie of the Year, scoring 52 points (25g-27a) in 59 games. Last season, Boucher had 23 points (13g-10a) in 21 games with the Grizzlies while also skating in five AHL games with Colorado. In 2018-19, Boucher won the USports University Cup with the University of New Brunswick. He played on that team alongside former Heartlanders captain, and last season's ECHL Rookie of the Year, Kris Bennett.
