Chaika heads back to Fuel

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel announced that they have re-signed defenseman Kirill Chaika to a contract for the 2022-23 season. 

Chaika is returning for his second season with the Fuel. The 25-year-old from Minsk, Belarus skated in 56 games with Indy in the 2021-22 season, tallying 13 points (2g-11a), adding 33 penalty minutes and sharing the team lead in plus-minus at +18. 

Prior to joining the Fuel, Chaika’s playing history includes playing for the U-20 Belarus National Team in 2016-17 when he posted six points (1g-5a) in 23 games along with three points (1g-2a) in 31 games with the Southern Professional Hockey League's Fayetteville Marksmen in 2017-18.
