The ECHL announced on Tuesday the schedule for the 20223 Kelly Cup Finals between the Idaho Steelheads and Florida Everblades.Game 1 – Saturday, June 3 at 7:10 p.m. MT at Idaho Central Arena in Boise, IdahoGame 2 – Sunday, June 4 at 4:10 p.m. MT at Idaho Central Arena in Boise, IdahoGame 3 – Wednesday, June 7 at 7:30 p.m. ET at Hertz Arena in Estero, FloridaGame 4 – Friday, June 9 at 7:30 p.m. ET at Hertz Arena in Estero, FloridaGame 5 – Saturday, June 10 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Hertz Arena in Estero, Florida *Game 6 – Tuesday, June 13 at 7:10 p.m. MT at Idaho Central Arena in Boise, Idaho *Game 7 – Wednesday, June 14 at 7:10 p.m. MT at Idaho Central Arena in Boise, Idaho * * – If Necessary Idaho defeated Toledo 4 games to 1 in the Western Conference Finals to reach the Kelly Cup Finals for the fourth time in team history and first since 2010. Florida defeated Newfoundland 4 games to 2 in the Eastern Conference Finals to reach the Kelly Cup Finals for the second consecutive season, and sixth time in team history, tied for the most in ECHL history. This marks the second time the two clubs have met in the Kelly Cup Finals. Idaho prevailed 4 games to 1 in the 2004 Kelly Cup Finals. About the ECHL Formed in 1988-89 with five teams in four states, the ECHL has grown into a coast-to-coast league with 28 teams in 20 states and two Canadian provinces for its 35th season in 2022-23. There have been 740 players who have gone on to play in the National Hockey League after playing in the ECHL, including 13 who made their NHL debut in the 2022-23 season. The ECHL has affiliations with 28 of the 32 NHL teams in 2022-23, marking the 26th consecutive season that the league has affiliations with at least 20 teams in the NHL.
