Coralville, Iowa –The Iowa Heartlanders, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Minnesota Wild and American Hockey League's Iowa Wild, announced forward Gavin Hain has agreed to terms on a contract for the 2023-24 season.Hain joins Iowa after spending the last five seasons at the University of North Dakota. He scored a career-best 11 goals and 18 points for the Fighting Hawks last season and served as an alternate captain from 2021-23. Hain totaled 55 points (31g-24a) in 144 career collegiate games.A sixtth-round selection (174th overall) of the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, Hain posted 35 points (15g-20a) for the United States National Team Development Program in 2017-18. The year before joining the NTDP, he captained Grand Rapids High School to the 2017 Minnesota Boys State High School Hockey Championship.
