Faragher named CCM/ECHL Goaltender of the Week

Ryan Faragher of the Utah Grizzlies is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for March 20-26. It is the third time in his career that he has received the weekly honor.

Faragher went 1-1-0 with a 2.05 goals-against average and a save percentage of .947 in three appearances last week.

The 26-year-old stopped 28 of 32 shots in a 5-3 loss against Colorado on Monday, stopped all 21 shots he faced in 26:48 of playing time in a 5-2 win in a relief effort at Colorado on Friday and turned aside 41 shots in a 4-1 victory over the Eagles on Saturday.

A native of Fort Frances, Ontario, Faragher is 17-15-4 with two shutouts in 38 appearances with the Grizzlies this season.

Under a National Hockey League contract with Anaheim, Faragher has seen action in 103 career games with Utah posting a record of 51-36-11 with six shutouts, a 2.69 goals-against average and a save percentage of .908. He also has a 6-12-1 record in 20 career games in the American Hockey League with Norfolk and San Diego.

Prior to turning pro, Faragher played three seasons at St. Cloud State University, appearing in 98 games with an overall record of 53-34-8 with five shutouts, a 2.58 goals-against average and a save percentage of .911.
