Brassart named Inglasco/ECHL Player of the Week

Brady Brassart of the Idaho Steelheads is the Inglasco ECHL Player of the Week for March 19-25.

Brassart scored one goal, added four assists and was a +5 in two games last week.

The 24-year-old tallied a goal and two assists in a 5-0 win against Rapid City on Friday and added a pair of assists in a 5-2 victory over the Rush on Saturday.

A native of Vernon, British Columbia, Brassart has 50 points (22g-28a) in 45 games with the Steelheads this season while also seeing action in nine games with Utica of the American Hockey League.

Brassart has posted 110 points (42g-68a) in 138 career ECHL games with Idaho and Quad City and has recorded 29 points (13g-16a) in 129 career AHL games with Utica and Iowa.

Prior to turning pro, Brassart tallied 269 points (111g-158a) in 323 career games in the Western Hockey League with Spokane and Calgary.

On behalf of Brady Brassart, a case of pucks will be donated to an Idaho youth hockey organization by Inglasco, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Inglasco has donated more than 37,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
