Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that goaltender Andrew Engelage has returned to the team from the AHL’s Toronto Marlies and joined the Grizzlies in Victoria.
The Grizzlies are the ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League and the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.
Engelage joined Toronto on Feb. 18 and went 2-0 with the Marlies with a 3.37 goals-against-average and a .892 save percentage.
The second-year-pro left Utah with a 18-10-3-1 record, a 2.56 goals-against-average and a .921 save percentage. He is still ranked fifth in the ECHL in goals-against-average and is second in save percentage.
He has been named the ECHL’s goaltender of the week twice since January 1 and has totaled two shutouts this season.
