Everblades agree to terms with Jason Wilson

ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced that the team has agreed to terms with forward Jason Wilson for the 2014-15 season.

The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes and Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League and the Charlotte Checkers and Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

Wilson, 24, joins the Everblades after posting 15 points (6g-9a) in 54 games played last season with the Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League. The 6-2, 205-pound winger played two seasons with the Greenville Road Warriors from 2011-2013 totaling 19 points (5g-14a) and 177 penalty minutes in 79 games.

The Richmond Hill, Ontario native recorded a goal to go along with 30 penalty minutes and a +1 rating in 17 games with the Connecticut Whale of the American Hockey League during the 2012-13 season. Wilson was a fifth-round selection (130th overall) of the New York Rangers in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
