ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Greg Poss announced today that forward Luc Tardif has agreed to terms for the 2011-12 season, making him the first player to join the Everblades for the upcoming season.
Tardif joins the Everblades after spending all of his professional career in France with Mulhouse, Villard de Lans, Morzine-Avoriaz and Rouen. Most recently the 26-year-old spent the past two seasons with the Rouen Dragons where he helped the club to back-to-back French championships.
Last season the 6-foot-4 winger posted 12 points (7g-5a) in 19 regular season games with the Dragons, then notched five points (3g-2a) in nine playoff games en-route to the club’s fourth championship since 2006.
In 2009-10 Tardif put together his best season, tallying 32 points (14g, 18a) in 25 regular season games before registering an impressive 11 points (6g-5a) in 11 playoff games.
