ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced on Friday that Head Coach Gerry Fleming has signed a two-year contract extension.
In 2003-04, the Everblades enjoyed the most successful season in team history winning the Eastern Conference Championship and advancing to the Kelly Cup Finals. In three seasons behind the bench, Fleming is 109-75-32 in the regular season and 14-10 in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
“We are pleased to have Gerry back for the next two years. The team had an outstanding playoff run this past season,” said Florida President Craig Brush. “Gerry’s dedication resulted in the best season in Everblades history and he is committed to bringing the Kelly Cup to Southwest Florida.”
“This past season was tremendous for this organization and for the community,” said Fleming. “My family and I are elated to be back for the next two seasons in Southwest Florida. I continue to be committed to accomplishing our ultimate goal which is bringing a championship to our great fans.”
