ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades are proud to announce that their fans helped raised $16,400 for donation to five different cancer charities during the team’s annual “Pink in the Rink” jersey auction!
During the weekend of Feb. 18 and 19 the Everblades hosted their third annual “Pink in the Rink Weekend” to help raise awareness and money for cancer research. The Everblades players wore special themed “Pink in the Rink” jerseys that were auctioned off live after the game on Feb 19 with the net proceeds benefiting four local SW Florida charities and one national charity.
The money raised by the 24 jerseys worn by the Everblades’ players locally benefited the Cancer Alliance of Naples, Cape Coral Relay for Life, For Kids Foundation and Partner’s For a Breast Cancer Cure. Additionally a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen For the Cure fund.
