ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades announced that they have signed forward Ernie Hartlieb.
The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes and the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League and the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League.
In 2004-05, the 6-foot-2 and 210-pound Hartlieb played two games with Lowell and then played 15 games with Florida scoring 12 points (3g-12a).
The 25-year-old was called up to Grand Rapids of the AHL in December and played the remainder of the regular season scoring nine points (3g-6a) in 44 games.
He returned to the Everblades for the Kelly Cup Playoffs and had eight points (6g-2a) in 14 games.
