Falcons Agree To Terms With Beaulieu, Rookie Gongalsky

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons announced that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Pierre-Olivier Beaulieu (pictured) and rookie left wing Igor Gongalsky.

The Falcons are the ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League and the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League.

The 20-year-old Gongalsky has played each of the last three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League where he had 71 points (31g-40a) and 270 penalty minutes in 192 regular season games and 11 points (6g-5a) and 33 penalty minutes in 27 playoff games with Owen Sound and Oshawa.

The 6-foot-4 and 215-pound Beaulieu has played each of his first two professional seasons for the Falcons and has 29 points (9g-20a) and 147 penalty minutes in 143 regular season games and one assist and eight penalty minutes in 12 games in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
