Falcons Agree To Terms With Rookies Ceci, Van Culin

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons announced that they have agreed to terms with rookie defenseman Joe Van Culin and rookie goaltender John Ceci.

The Falcons are the ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League and the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League.

The 25-year-old Van Culin played the last four years at Ferris State University where he had 34 points (10g-24a) and 159 penalty minutes in 134 games, including career highs with five goals, nine assists, 14 points and 73 penalty minutes in 2006-07.

The 24-year-old Ceci played four seasons at Acadia University where he was 34-25-3 with a goals-against average of 2.87 and a save percentage of .891.
