Falcons Agree To Terms With Rookies Torres, Tremblay

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons announced that they have agreed to terms with rookie left wings Hunter Tremblay (pictured) and Daniel Torres.

The Falcons are the ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League and the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League.

Tremblay is the cousin of Jonathan Tremblay who played 63 games for the Falcons in 2006-07, while Torres is the younger brother of Raffi Torres of the Edmonton Oilers.

The 21 year old Tremblay, who is scheduled to attend the Sharks rookie training camp, led the Ontario Hockey League in scoring and was named to the OHL All-Star Game after registering career highs with 35 goals, 54 assists and 89 points in 64 games for Barrie. He played five seasons for Barrie and had 274 points (115g-159a) in 317 regular season games and 31 points (13g-18a) in 45 playoff games.

The 6-foot-4 and 230-pound Torres has played the last five seasons in the Ontario Provincial Junior “A” Hockey League where he had 156 points (55g-101a) and 587 penalty minutes in 156 games for Markham while also playing in the OHL where he had three points (1g-2a) and four penalty minutes in 18 games for London and Oshawa.
