PRINCETON, N.J. – Luke Curtin of the Fresno Falcons is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for October 24-30.
The 28-year-old Curtin scored eight points (5g-3a) and was a +2 in three games for the Falcons. Curtin began the week scoring a team record four goals, including the game-winner, and five points in Fresno’s 5-2 win at Long Beach on October 28 and scored a shorthand goal and had two assists in the Falcons 7-6 shootout loss against Idaho on October 29.
The 6-foot-2 and 205-pound Curtin spent last season with Atlantic City scoring 40 points (9g-31a) in 38 games, and San Antonio of the American Hockey League where he had two assists in five games.
Selected in the fifth round (134th overall) by Colorado in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft, Curtin helped Atlantic City win the Kelly Cup in 2003. He was second in the playoffs in scoring with 20 points and led all players with 18 assists, including four in the Finals.
