PRINCETON, N.J. – Jamie Hodson is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week for January 10-16.
Acquired in a December trade with Reading, the 24-year-old Hodson was 3-0-0 with a goals-against average of 1.30 and a save percentage of .960 as Fresno went 3-0-0. After making 38 saves in a 4-2 win at Las Vegas on January 10, the 6-2 and 198-pound Hodson had 31 saves in a 2-1 win at Alaska on January 14. The native of Lenore, Manitoba closed out the week making 27 saves in regulation and one save in overtime before stopping four of five shooters in the shootout for a 2-1 shootout win at Alaska on January 15, his league-leading fifth shootout victory.
Selected in the third round (69th overall) by Toronto in the 1998 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Hodson is 6-0-0 with three shootout wins in his last six starts, improving his record with Fresno to 10-3-0 while lowering his goals-against average to 2.78 and raising his save percentage to .917.
