Familiar faces return to Reign

ONTARIO, Calif. – The
Ontario Reign, ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, announced the return of defenseman Adrian Van de Mosselaer and right wing Brady Calla.

Van de Mosselaer enters his third professional season, all of which he has spent with Ontario. The Kelowna, British Columbia native tallied six points (1g-5a) in 2012-13 after posting 10 points (1g-9a) in his rookie campaign in 2011-12. Van de Mosselaer’s added three points (1g-2a) in 10 games during the 2013 Kelly Cup Playoffs.

Before turning pro, the 6-foot-3, 225-pound skater spent four years playing at the major junior level with the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League. He recorded a total of 55 points (15g-40a) and amassed 325 penalty minutes in 218 career games.

Calla, 25, also returns to the Reign for his third season. Last year the team’s alternate captain earned a career-high 25 points (12g-13a) in 57 regular-season contests and recorded five points (1g-4a) in 10 postseason games. In his pro career, Calla has racked up 89 points (32g-57a) in 212 AHL and ECHL games.

Prior to turning pro, Calla played over a span of five seasons earning a total of 173 points (62g-111a) in 321 WHL games with the Everett Silvertips, Moose Jaw Warriors, Kamloops Blazers and Spokane Chiefs.
