PRINCETON, N.J. – Florida’s Ryan Murphy is the InGlasCo East Coast Hockey League Player of the Week for December 23-29.
Under contract to Carolina of the National Hockey League, the 23-year-old Murphy had five points (4g-1a) in three games, helping the Everblades increase their winning streak to seven games, the longest in the ECHL in 2002-03.
Murphy scored two goals, including the game-winning goal, in Florida’s 4-1 win at Greenville on Friday. The following night he again scored two goals, including the game winner with 31 seconds remaining in the game, as the Everblades won 2-1 at Greenville. On Sunday, he assisted on the game-winning goal as Florida won 3-0 at Pee Dee.
