Florida’s Palin named ECHL Sponsorship Sales Executive of the Year

The ECHL announced that Chris Palin of the Florida Everblades is the 2017-18 recipient of the ECHL Sponsorship Sales Executive of the Year award.


The award is presented to an individual who has experienced success with the sponsorship sales process.


The other finalists were Toni Daniels of the Kalamazoo Wings, Preston Hayden of the South Carolina Stingrays, Todd Mackin of the Kansas City Mavericks, Leah Motsis of the Worcester Railers and Brian Prutch of the Utah


Palin’s sponsorship sales for the 2017-18 season was an increase of 11 percent from 2016-17 while his total partners increased by 12 percent. His sales totals accounted for 74 percent of the team’s total during the season and ranks second in the league. Palin was instrumental in setting a new team sponsorship sales record with an overall sales increase of 10 percent from 2016-17 and he developed the ” Blades Backers” program that has grown to include 15 corporate partners responsible for donating more than 6,800 tickets to over 100 local charities.


Palin joined the Germain Arena and Everblades staff in August 2010 after spending 12 seasons with the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League under the same capacity where he earned the league’s McKenzie Award in 1997-98 for excellence in marketing.
