Florida’s Pistilli named CCM ECHL Player of the Month

Matthew Pistilli of the Florida Everblades is the CCM ECHL Player of the Month for October.


Pistilli scored seven goals and added four assists for 11 points in October as the Everblades posted a 6-0-0 record in the opening month of the ECHL season.


The 25-year-old had at least two points in five of his six games during the month, and had a three-point game (1g-2a) in a 6-2 win at Bakersfield on Oct. 26. He had two goals in a game three times in October – Oct. 19 at Orlando, Oct. 27 at Ontario and Oct. 29 at Las Vegas.


A native of Montreal, Quebec, Pistilli is tied for the ECHL lead with seven goals and is tied for second with 12 points. His three power-play goals are also tied for the league lead while his five power-play points are second.


Pistilli has 121 points (49g-72a) in 120 career ECHL games with Florida and South Carolina and he has added 19 points (7g-7a) in 21 career games in the Kelly Cup Playoffs. He has also seen action in 167 career American Hockey League games with Albany and Charlotte, recording 52 points (25g-27a).
