PITTSBURGH — Dany Sabourin doesn’t mind his role–as long as he wins a Stanley Cup.
“I’m on an awesome team right now with a great chance to win the Stanley Cup,” Sabourin said.
The Penguins third-string goalie has a 10-9 record this season. He hasn’t played since early this season when he replaced the injured Marc-Andre Fleury. But Sabourin is third on the Penguins depth chart, behind Fleury and back-up Ty Conklin.
“It’s not a good position to be in right now with three goalies, but I’m dealing with it,” said the former Wheeling Nailers netminder. “It won’t be like this next season.”
