Fresno Agrees To Terms With Rookies Bernard, McConnachie

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Falcons announced that they have agreed to terms with rookie forwards Kenny Bernard and Brett McConnachie.

The Falcons are the ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League and the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League.

The 22-year-old Bernard played the last four seasons at the Ohio State University where he had 43 points (15g-28a) in 132 games including career highs with seven goals, 12 assists and 19 points in 2006-07.

The 22-year-old McConnachie helped the University of Alabama Huntsville make its first-ever NCAA tournament appearance in 2006-07 helping take top seed Notre Dame to double overtime before losing 3-2. In four years he had 77 points (37g-40a) in 132 games including career bests in 2006-07 with 12 goals, 16 assists and 28 points in 35 games.
