Fuel sign veteran defenseman Miskovic

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel, ECHL affiliate of the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs announced the signing of veteran defenseman Zach Miskovic.

Miskovic served as an alternate captain for Indy’s AHL affiliate in 2014-15, logging eight points (2g-6a), a +4 rating and 40 penalty minutes over 42 contests with Rockford. Since making his professional debut in 2009, the 30-year-old blueliner has accrued 79 points (22g-59a) in 280 career AHL games with Rockford, Iowa, San Antonio, Chicago and Hershey. A four-year product of St. Lawrence University, Miskovic won the 2010 Calder Cup with Hershey in his rookie season.

In addition to his on-ice performance for the IceHogs last season, the native of River Forest, Ill. was recognized for his service away from the rink, winning the team’s 2014-15 IOA/American Specialty AHL Man of the Year Award for his contributions around the Rockford community.
