Kalamazoo, MI –The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the National Hockey League’s New York Islanders and American Hockey League’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers, announce goaltender Riley Gill has been loaned to the Worcester Sharks of the AHL.
Entering his first full season as a professional, Gill participated in the training camp of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Gill being loaned to Worcester marks the fifth time this season that a member of the K-Wings has been sent up to the AHL.
Before joining Kalamazoo earlier this month, Gill started the season with the Victoria Salmon Kings. On the season, Gill has made six appearances, earning a record of 4-2-0-0 with a goals-against-average of 2.50 and a save percentage of 0.917.
In Gill’s absence, the K-Wings have signed goaltender Tom Schaul. Schaul played three seasons of collegiate hockey at the University of Oklahoma and has dressed this season with the Indiana Blizzard of the All-American Hockey League and the with the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye.
