Gladiators Acquire Kaleniecki From Las Vegas

DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that they have acquired left wing Brandon Kaleniecki from the Las Vegas Wranglers in exchange for future considerations.

The Gladiators are the ECHL affiliate of the Thrashers of the NHL and the Wolves of the AHL. Chicago is coached by Don Granato, who led Peoria to a 45-20-5 record and the Kelly Cup championship in 1999-2000 after two seasons as head coach and general manager for Columbus. The assistant coach for Chicago is former ECHL player and coach Jason Christie, who was the Most Valuable Player of the Kelly Cup Playoffs in 2000 and head coach of Utah from 2005-08 and Peoria from 2000-05.

The 26 year old played for Gwinnett as a rookie in 2006-07. He spent the majority of the season on injured reserve and had 11 points (5g-6a) and 14 penalty minutes in 19 regular season games and two points (1g-1a) and two penalty minutes in four Kelly Cup Playoff games as a rookie in 2006-07.
