The Gwinnett Gladiators have agreed to terms with defenseman Paul Flache for the 2011-12 season.
Flache skated with Gwinnett last season and earned 23 points (6g-17a) in 69 games with the Gladiators. He ranked third on the team with 100 penalty minutes last season with Gwinnett.
Prior to last season, Flache played four seasons overseas with Hern EV, Regensburg EV and with the Augsburg Panthers in Germany. Flache ranked third in points with 41 (16g-25a) with Hern EV in 37 games in the 2009-10 season. In four seasons in Germany, Flache recorded 76 points (28g-48a) in 141 games.
Flache returned to the Gladiators last year and he also played three seasons for Gwinnett from 2004-2007. He scored the game winning overtime goal for Gwinnett to propel the Gladiators past the Louisiana IceGators and into the Western Conference Finals in the 2004 Kelly Cup Playoffs. In his first three seasons with the Gladiators, Flache earned 33 points (6g-27a) in 110 games in Gwinnett. He had five points (2g-3a) in 14 Kelly Cup Playoff games with the Gladiators.
Flache also appeared in the American Hockey League from 2003-2006 with Chicago and Bridgeport. Flache earned 25 points (5g-20a) in 110 career AHL games.
