DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that their Fourth-Annual Jersey Off Our Backs charity auction raised more than $28,000.
The jersey auction concluded the team’s “Salute To Atlanta Traffic” weekend at Your Best Rate Financial Home Ice at The Arena at Gwinnett Center.
The team auctioned special jerseys designed to resemble the fluorescent vests typically worn by Department of Transportation workers that were worn for games on Saturday and Sunday. The jerseys will have traffic signs and highway markers on the sleeves.
All proceeds from the auction benefit the Gladiators Foundation for Kids, the team’s non-profit entity that has donated over $95,000 to various North Metro Atlanta area charities, most of which focus on children.
The Gladiators are the ECHL affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers of the National Hockey League and the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.
