DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that the third-annual “Jersey Off Our Back” charity auction raised over $46,000, the largest amount raised by the team with a jersey auction.
The Gladiators wore special military-themed jerseys for their games on Mar. 11 and 12 which were auctioned off following the game on Mar. 12.
The $46,000 surpassed the $28,000 raised last season and almost tripled the $16,000 from the jersey auction in the team’s inaugural season in 2003-04.
All proceeds from the auction benefit the Gladiators Foundation for Kids, the team’s nonprofit arm which has already donated more than $43,000 to various North Metro Atlanta area charities with an emphasis on those who assist children.
