Gladiators Receive Lehman From Chicago

DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that rookie defenseman Scott Lehman has been assigned by the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League and that the team has signed defenseman Jim Jackson while right wing Adam Smyth has been recalled by the Atlanta Thrashers of the National Hockey League for reassignment.

The Gladiators are the ECHL affiliate of the Wolves of the AHL and the Thrashers of the NHL.

Selected in the third round (76th overall) by Atlanta in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and under contract to the Thrashers, the 20-year-old Lehman has played three games with the Wolves and has 14 penalty minutes. He played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League where he had 121 points (15g-106a) and 603 penalty minutes in 244 regular season games and 14 points (5g-9a) and 118 penalty minutes in 51 playoff games for Toronto St. Michael’s Majors from 2002-06.
